Right in the middle of the downtown, just steps away from the beach, the Grand has it all. Adults and kids alike will love the aqua park, and nature lovers will adore the bird sanctuary walk just minutes away. Adventure seekers can check out Lakefront Sports Centre for jet-ski rides, parasailing, boat rentals and more. Sparkling Hills Resort
Wanting a bit of adult time? Sparkling Hills Resort, located at the north end of the Okanagan Lake near Vernon, is the perfect adults-only oasis you’ve been dreaming of. Overlooking the Monashee Mountains, the resort really thrives on producing the feeling of luxury for their guests.
If you’ve never seen the resort before, picture a European style spa in the Okanagan Mountains. Using a crystal architect in the design process, the resort opened in 2010 with 3.5 million crystals embedded in the walls of the luxury property.
Sparkling Hill offers the largest luxury spa in the country and the first North American spa to offer a Cyro Cold Chamber, popular with those suffering from inflammation. The resort offers delicious farm to table dining and while it’s hard to leave the resort you will find it an interesting day trip to meet local food producers in and around Vernon.
Spirit Ridge Resort offers spa treatments, pools, and delicious fine dining for all their guests. It also gives close access to golf courses, horseback riding, vineyards and it’s also steps away from the Nk’Mip Cultural Centre, which offers a window into the beliefs, history and language of the Syilx people, who’s traditional and unceded territory the resort resides upon.
There are many natural wonders surrounding the resort as well. You can view wildlife as you walk upon a desert conservation environment, adjacent to the resort. Only a few kilometres away is Spotted Lake, a geological marvel you’ll have to see to understand. You can’t access the lake directly as it is a sacred space, but from the road you can pleasantly see the marvel of nature that it is. Please respect property rights and obey all signs.
Toned Down On Cost, But Not On The Party
Jumping back into the city of Kelowna, we’ve got the colourful and fun Hotel Zed. Right in the middle of downtown, Hotel Zed is steps away from city park and a block from wide variety of restaurants. Not only that, you can enjoy the beautiful rooftop patio overlooking city park or a dip in their outdoor pool. Known for its fabulously bright colours, Hotel Zed is the perfect accommodation for anyone who wants to be in the limelight.
The Eldorado Hotel is an absolutely stunning hotel in the Mission region of Kelowna. Right on the water you can enjoy beautiful view of Lake Okanagan, and you can also enjoy these breathtaking views from the cozy bedrooms above. Parasailing is launched right behind the restaurant for you to enjoy in between moments of relaxation.
